Chinese art has varied through history and is continuously changing even with influence of western culture today. early forms of chinese art were made from pottery and jade. in early imperial china, porcelain was introduced and began to be refined up to the point that in english today, the word china is now synonymous with refined porcelain.
New forms of Chinese art were heavily influenced by the New culture Movement, which adopted western techniques and employed social realism. The cultural revolution has greatly shaped Chinese art and chinese artists have continued to produce a wide range of works which have become very popular in the international art market.
